There is so much to say but it would just be repeating the other comments. I will say this, that we all have a choice to view or not view anything. You are responsible for the content your children see. Train them to be resposible. Freedom of speech is not always your choice or mine, but if we sensor the attention getting we sensor the quiet ones too.

for me i don’t think banning Wikipedia is not the best solution. it would rather be better to ban anything which is contrary to education there.

Censorship in most cases is wrong and pages with possible “dodgy” content should just have a warning. but pages that are likely to attack young people should be censored.

I was surprise when i read article…wikipedia is an educational site or like an encyclopedia that we can get useful information for research i never thought that there such thing on it (porn images)…well i think wikipedia must be aware on there site content they should moderate this kind of images that they put on to there site..as we know many student are researching on there site and this pollute the mind of of our young as they see images… gilbert’s last blog post..Mets Tickets Available

I do hope that this doesn't cause wikepedia to be removed. This site has provided valuable information about certain things. My research have been succesful because of it. In fact everytime you type a keyword in google, their site is on the top of the list most of the time. However, what we can only do is to ask the owner of the site to put a restriction before gaining access to the link. adult rated websites do this all the time, so why not apply this to some of the links that may be harmful for the kids? francesca’s last blog post..Teen Teenage Depression in Males and Females

You are right, Bronn, I really attributed Patricia’s comment to you. Sorry about that, I sincerely apologize.

About government censorship, my article has nothing to do with that, Bronn. The discussion is focused on general public opinion whether Wikipedia is the right place for adult hardcore, particularly for gay porn. It was also a heads up to parents who are not aware of the fact that Wikipedia hosts such content.

You see, we go on and on debating an issue that has nothing to do with the topic of the article.
