Two days ago I was writing about personal branding and business cards as a part of this process. And today, as I was browsing the Web looking for new blogs to read I decided to introduce you to a few that cover the very topic of personal branding. With some of these blogs I am already familiar. Actually Dan Schawbel writes one of the best blogs on personal branding you will ever find online. So I will make Dan’s blog the top of my list.
It’s called simple: personal branding blog. And I wouldn’t give it any other name. This is what this blog is all about. As a matter of fact you have to read this blog because, to quote Dan Schawbel personally: “If you’re interested more on this topic, I devote my life to it!” – Dan’s dedication is obvious not only from the blog. Visit the Personal Branding Magazine and the Personal Branding TV for even more Dan Schawbel .
As much as I hate the term “musing” I know value when it hits me. I was not familiar with Rob Cuesta’s branding blog, so I took some time to read and learn. You will like it too – especially the “Branding quote of the week”entries.
Then we have William Arruda and you have to read (and Stumble) his last entry that starts with the following quote:
Whoever said you have to hide your personality to deliver business results?
Well, I know from personal experience that being yourself delivers genuine results, long lasting results and it always leaves an open door.
And who doesn’t know Neil Patel one of the SEO holly figures (metaphor to disguise the already annoying “guru” appelative). Did you know that he is into personal branding? Well, read his blog and you will see that this man knows his business at all possible levels.
Last but not least the Personal Branding Summit blog A Brand You World has enough personal branding resources to keep you busy for a month!

Right, many people focus on how your online presence can’t hurt you but I think the positive effect can be great, as I blogged about in:your online image and Blogging is Good for You
John, your online presence can only hurt you if it’s done in an unethical, unprofessional manner. As for your links, to be honest, I was expecting to find more.
Mihaela,
Great Post. I definitely think personal branding can go a long way in building your business. Ethically done of course.
As you point out, online branding is just part of the equation — you also need a real-world aspect, with things like business cards and promotional products. Integrating all the avenues really multiples the potential.
