Who started it? Does anyone know? Who started this “name five reasons you blog” meme? It’s everywhere, in any language, scooping every mind, digging, asking for more. This is the monster of all memes. I was really wondering when it’s going to come my way. I was really afraid of the day when someone would tell me: Mig, you’ve got tagged. Name five reasons you blog. And the day arrived. A tag from Villager and now I have to start making that list. And I hate lists. Always did. I even hate shopping lists, yet I managed to write down 25 things you didn’t know about me. So it shouldn’t be so difficult to write five reasons I blog. But what if there aren’t five? What if there are more? Should I list the more important? And how do I choose? Decisions, decisions!
And now I’m supposed to tag other bloggers to participate in this meme. But as far as I know, this meme went around the world and back. So I will not tag anyone. I just invite you to leave a link to your five reasons to blog in the comments.

1All worthy and managable reasons to blog. Keep it up.

2Your 5 reasons are wonderful reasons, Mihaela. Heck I wrote a mini-novel AND got questioned if I could elaborate, too! I simply did a free association type thing.
And you know what? Only one person stepped up to the plate when I sent out a cry for help. Initially, I became disappointed and then I said to myself, “So What. No biggy.” Moreover, I have been giggling to myself about it ever since. Phffffffffft!
I always smile when I think of Mihaela Lica and when I do, I want to hug Ilker because he tagged me on a tag that you began. Believe it or not, I had a few unhappy campers who commented on our attempt at protecting our kids from online porn access. Go figure!

3Thank you, Dio.
Saboma, where was I when you cried for help? Did we know each other?
Anyway, about the blogger power project: there are pros and cons. But It’s better to do something than to keep quiet about this topic. In Germany one webmaster liked the idea and complied with our request. But this is just one man with three sites. I had negative comments too, even a “slap on the face” from Rose who doesn’t believe in this project. Obviously some people consider themselves better than other people. That’s OK, and we should not let our spirits down because of different opinions.
I have all the reasons to thank everyone who believed in this project. We raised some problems, we raised awareness and that’s a good thing.

4Mig –> Thank you for sharing your reasons to blog. I enjoyed very much your perspective. Actually, I’m glad that I decided to reach out to the top five Blogging-to-Fame bloggers. Four of the five tagged have shared their five reasons to blog. I hope that Greg Lunger will do so at some point in the future.
Anyhow, thank you again. I look forward to reading your blog again in the future!
peace, Villager

5Who knew that blogging could be so enriching and rewarding? I am a novice blogger compared to many with only 18 months of blogging behind me. Still, blogging is fun, enjoyable, and a great way to meet people. Glad to have met you via the blogosphere, Mihaela.

6I am especially intrigued by that first reason of yours, Mihaela, about blogging to be. I may have a small idea of what you mean… Glad that I came to read this - it’s a very honest kind of list, and tells a lot about you I think.

7Villager, no need to thank me! I know you from Blogging to Fame, but your tag shows the real value of the contest: we get to know each other. And that’s why I blog.
Matt, you are an amazing blogger yourself! Don’t think you are a novice. Even the most experienced blogger (and I am not one of them) could learn a lot from you!
Jen, writing is my life. This is why I blog: to write. To share (my soul). To be. I know you understand what I mean.
It’s always surprising to see that other bloggers know us better than our best friends. They understand us better. They “see” us better. And you want to know why? Because other bloggers have the same struggles. They need someone to listen, not just someone to hear.

10Hey, how many blogs do you have? So far I count 5. But you know, as icebergs go, this may be just the tip. =P
I tried reading some of the Romanian blogs, but I gave up after a couple of hours. I mean after the first paragraph. =P Needless to say I need to practice Romanian more. =)

11Well, yes… I have 5 blogs.
The Romanian blogs… you are one of the few readers… I really don’t advertise them a lot.

12Heya, Mihaela,
I just today see your response to my comment. Please forgive me for being remiss in returning here to see your reply. I totally spaced. I did not ask you to participate in this tag because I knew already that you had been tagged. We were both tagged at the same time. Otherwise, I certainly would have asked you to participate.
*Hugs*
