The SEO Book of WordPress Blogs is finally ready. Thanks to the efforts and dedication of my dear friend Lillie Ammann, Writer & Editor, this book is now error free (as you all know I am not a native English speaker) and available to download (pdf) free.
Once again, I’d like to thank all of you who offered to proofread the book. I’ll not take more of your time, by sending the already edited (by Lillie) version. I am confident that if there are any errors you’ll let me know. And I thank you in advance.
As I said yesterday, I will not be able to blog so often this week. However, I’d like to encourage you to download the SEO book and use the comments submit form to send me your comments/ observations / critique.

Mig,
I wish your SEO book had been available when I first started blogging. I would have avoided a lot of mistakes. After a year of blogging, I’m just now understanding that I should be paying attention to SEO. The e-book is an excellent resource, and I intend to put several of your suggestions into practice.
To Mig’s readers:
Certainly if anyone who downloads it finds an error, please let Mig know.
There were few errors to correct, but I was so interested in learning about SEO that I might have overlooked something.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who blogs on WordPress.
I’ve read through most of the book and it’s really great! The perfect place to start when you are new to WordPress, as me
Thanks a lot for this, especially since it also helped me work wise (the tips on headlines are really great).
I am planning to start documenting my WordPress experience a little, but I will refer to more technical aspects, such as setting up the account. For the rest, I’d rather link to your work, which is more than anyone ever hoped for when contemplating blogging techniques.
Thank you girls.
Let me know if you find any other errors (like dead links or links that not work, etc).
Mig
Wow! What a fabulous tool! I am going to name my permalinks differently.
If I fix it now, will it affect previous links to my blog? (I don’t want to break any existing links.)
At least I’ll know what to do on my new blog.
Laura, if you change your permalinks, you lose all your previous links. You don’t need to change that anymore. Just do the other optimization.
Nice job, Mig. I know commenting etiquette asks for lengthy thoughtful comments but I’d like to forgo etiquette and simply give a succinct, one word review:
Awesome.
Don’t worry, Ian. Comments, when meaningful, can be as short as you like. Any words from you mean a lot.
Congratulations Mig and LIllie… a great team effort. I’ve started reading the ebook and have learned a lot already.
Yvonne
I’m gonna miss you this week;)
Are you writing for Blogger as well. Or should i shift to wordpress. Nice resource.
Hi Dio,
I don’t plan to write for blogger, because, although I use it for some of my blogs, I don’t consider it a reliable platform. However, if you need any help at all, I’d be glad to assist you.
You are doing a great job with your blog already. The only problem (which will cause many of your pages land in the supplemental results) is that you use “Fine Art of Blogging) as a title for all the posts from this category.
Mig
As if it was in my head
Did you notice that I have started giving different headings to different post, sensing this problem.
Yeah, I noticed that.
I was really wondering why you’ve started changing things. You could edit the rest of the entries too, it is not too late.
Just a head’s up, none of the links in the ebook worked for me. Otherwise, nice job. Thx.
-KB
Thank you KB! I had a feeling that the links won’t work. There must be something wrong with my Adobe PDF writer. I fixed the problem now and you’ll get a copy of the book via email! Once again, thank you!
Mig
Mihaela,
I missed this gem of yours when you posted it on June 12h. Luckily my Google search brought this up today. I haven’t finished reading yet, but can tell its packed with some very clever info. Some of these things I knew already (e.g. permalink info) but the detail you’ve included on changing themes, etc. is awesome! No one knows everything, and I’m constantly learning.
Good job!
Welcome to eWritings, Alexandra. Glad to hear that the SEO book has made it to the top pages in Google so fast.
And more than glad to hear you find it useful.
Nice book, i really liked it.
thank you for sharing it for free, I will download it
not bad, but i think these techniques can be hard to apply to wordpress, there are millions of blogs out there with the same internal header code structure, while applying seo to a blog is a good idea, i would not expect to get far with it
Hey, great work on it! Will there be any changes when WordPress 2.7 offically comes out? I’ll share this for those who plan to start on WordPress! Thanks!
Yes, Roger – if there are major upgrades with WordPress 2.7 I will make the necessary changes and announce all of them.
Wow! What a fabulous tool! I am going to name my permalinks differently.
Good job, I look forward to reading your SEO book. Social bookmarking has become the new backlinking!
This sounds like just what I need…I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for some time now. When I do, SEO is an integral part of making it work.
Great post!
I have already started a blog but think I have mades some quite obvious mistakes so will definately be downloading your SEO book.
Thanks alot
Blogs and SEO go hand in hand!

Great Article. To bad I wasn’t into SEO when you wrote this. Still relevant.
Joseph, did you see the date on that one? We are at WordPress 3.2.1 now, writing (or even updating) that “book” today is so irrelevant. Just use the Genesis framework and fine-tune if you will.
