First things first – because this is the order in which they appeared – thank you Christian Del Monte for the honor to be the first featured author on the iBlog Business blog. I’m glad you found my article Making Pink Elephants Fly On Web Waves worthy enough to be presented to your readers.
And now on the what really made my day, squeezed tears of joy, made me sing around the whole morning (my poor neighbors!) and made me walk with merengue steps (salsa would be a bit too complicated): being featured at Profy in Phil Buttler’s The People of Web 2.0 series.
Phil, words are not enough to thank you!
Thank you for your trust, thank you for your friendship! You are one of those special bloggers who understand the real meaning of the Web: its value is indeed given by the people. And I am thankful you considered worthy enough to be mentioned as one who makes a difference.
Through your eyes I see that I didn’t fail. Through your eyes I see myself complete, and yet… I long to give more of my heart.
Because Brian’s comment made me understand… we should never stop giving. The moment we stop giving, the moment we stop the conversation… the Web will die a slow death. Because the Web will lose its many hearts. And what is a living entity without a heart and a soul?
Phil, thank you for unleashing my dream. Thank you for showing to the members of the Profy community my heart. Thank you for bringing the people in the spot light and please, don’t stop The People of Web 2.0 series just because other bloggers don’t find it newsworthy.
People are more than newsworthy. They deserve our attention, they deserve our appreciation. Because we learn from people, we share with people. People make our businesses successful.
As I said (and this time I don’t hate repeating myself) PEOPLE ARE THE VERY ESSENCE OF THE WEB. People make the Web. Period.
So thank you. You made my heart sing and really brought sunshine in my life. And yes… for your trust (and for making me famous) I’ll find a way to buy you lunch.
Congratulations on the well-deserved recognition, Mig.
Thank you, Lillie. I am still so happy about this… I think this feeling will stay for a long, long time in my heart.
First of all, congratulations Mig, you deserve every little bit of fame you get
Second you are right, the internet isn’t much without the people. Therefore, its very core cannot be overlooked.
Oh, thank you … thank you! And… thank you for the wonderful comment you left on Profy too!
Hi Mig, thoroughly deserved reviews! Really like the ideas on branding your name too, this is exactly the type of thing I’m discussing with colleagues about at university concerning the fundemntal changes Web 2.0 will create to change conventional thinking about Marketing.
Hi Robinson! Welcome back. Thank you for the compliment (here and at Profy) and I’m glad you found the brand your name ideas good. I think this is what you should teach your students too, to prepare them for the new realities of the Web and also to prepare them to get a better paid job easier.
