Tierrettung Katalonien is a German website, made for Nicole’s dear friend Mónica, who runs a dog adoption animal shelter in Spain. I’ve tried to create a design to inspire positive reactions and I hope I achieved my goal.

Because, if you look at the site, you’ll see that the dogs ready for adoption need to be properly introduced to their new families. You’ll see that they need our love and care and I am sure that, if you love animals as I do, you’ll want to do at least something to make their life a bit better.

Mónica and Nicci are two very warm and loving women. I’ve been working with Nicci for a while and I can tell you that she’s one of the most altruistic persons I know, although I’ve never met her face to face. But you don’t need to meet people to know their heart. You feel it in the way they communicate, you discover it in the little things they give you: a thank you message, a virtual smile, and their trust.

Nicci was a perfect fit for Pamil Visions. Her professional skills are beyond critique. She works fast, she is reliable and she always offers the fairest prices to her clients. She has enough understanding for your problems and is always open for negotiation. And what I like the most about her is that she never does only what you tell her to do: for example she tries to make your work easier by translating the files directly in HTML format, so all you need to do is upload the files on your server. You can trust her 100%: the code will be HTML valid.

I don’t know Mónica personally, but Nicole’s recommendation was enough. So I made the design of Tierrettung Katalonien and waited patiently to see the dogs. And I am happy I donated the design. I cannot adopt one of the dogs, because where I live there are no pets allowed and for the time being it makes no sense to relocate, but in other situations I would try to adopt one of these wonderful, kind animals and try to give them all the love they deserve.

There are no homeless dogs in Germany, you see… but Spain has a problem with this and people are not always ready to adopt crippled animals. Nicole herself adopted a dog from Mónica’s dog shelter back in 2005 and the friendship between the two young women lead to this new initiative: a website in German that will hopefully find a home for the unfortunate dogs here, or anywhere else.

And I am happy to be part of this project. I am also hopeful. And I hope that, if any of you who live in Europe or elsewhere have any idea of how to help Mónica and Nicole further, you will send me your comments or, why not, consider adopting one of the dogs.
