Another week passes by… and what a great week that was! I am happy to announce the release of Chiropraktik Aachen after one month of assiduous work. I had the chance to work with two incredible people: Arne and Robert, the chiropractors. All the communication took place online and the site looks now very different from its original design… If you take a look you see how simple and clear this site is. This was the purpose: to create an easy to use, accessible website, where the patients could find basic information fast. It’s more of an online brochure than a website. The content is so minimal… I’ve done all I could to ensure good search engines placements. Let’s hope my SEO efforts pay off.
Last weekend I’ve made myself a promise: to include a list of “must read” blogs at least once a week in one of my entries. I do this to recognize quality, to lead you to what you might also consider valuable and to show you how wonderful the blogosphere really is…
Maybe I should create a special award? Nah… there are many, more valuable than what I could give. Liz Strauss at Successful Blog gives the SOB badge to recognize value. And I see many blogs displaying with pride this badge… One of them makes it in the recommendations for the weekend list today.
Read Steli’s Supercool principal blog about education, business and the Supercool School. I plan interviewing Steli about this project soon, and I am going to provide him all the help he needs to promote such an ambitious idea. Hopefully this is going to be a success.
Another must read is Johnna’s Colors of Ink She blogs to raise money for a homeless shelter called The Providence House in Shreveport. I see this as a wonderful initiative, and I urge you to visit her blog and post your comments there. Each of your comments will add money to her fund. And if you are the 25th person to comment here you’ll even get a free print of Johnna’s art.
Greg Laden blogs about evolution. You should really visit this one. Greg’s smart insights on different topics leave no place for other comments.
And here is Maria who blogs about her art and other topics. I give you this one to bring a smile on your face and a BAAAHHH! in your daily routine. Ciao, Maria!
Because we are in the art area… Update: I had to remove this one completely. See the reasons in the comments below.
If you long for quality poetry, you’ll find plenty in Beaman’s World.
I have to bring to your attention a Romanian blogger as well. I think I’ll do this once a week, or better I’ll create a special “Romanian bloggers” category to show you the beauty of the Romanian spirit. So read Dragos Roua’s blog. You are not going to regret it.
And because blogging opens the doors to a really complex world, get fit with Phil Brown.
These are my recommendations for this weekend… well, what’s left of it. Enjoy!
That was just so nice and sweet of you!!!
Thank you so much for your support!!!
Have a terrific weekend:)
Maria
Baaahhh!
It was my pleasure!
Thank you for recommending my blog. It was a lovely surprise.
Best Wishes,
Beaman
Anytime, Beaman! I love your poetry.
You made my day Mihaela! Feels so good to know that you dream the supercool dream with us…you rock! Steli
Hi,
I appreciate your linking to and mentioning about my site.
However, it’s NOT OK to use my art work on your web site without my permission. Although you did briefly mention it being my work somewhere in the text, there was no mentioning directly adjacent to my art.
Please remove my art work promptly from your web page.
And I don’t like my name being associated to this BAAAHHH link.
Maria Yu
Maria, your artwork was removed. I didn’t mean to upset you. On a second note: the Baaahhh link is not associated with your work. Maria – and that’s her real name, is a very talented artist. Her art is different, but this doesn’t make it less newsworthy. Should I remove your link completely? Just let me know.
I hope you all understand that if I receive another comment like “I don’t like my name being associated to this BAAAHHH link” I am going to delete it. This is not a place where you can offend other bloggers. eWritings is a place for kindness and while I agree that it was my mistake to use Maria Yu’s artwork (which HAD a link to her page, by the way!) without permission, I do not approve of the “this BAAAHHH link” comment. All the blogs listed here are blogs I read and recommend gladly. I see all these bloggers as special and, as they are a part of my world, I will stand up to what I believe in. So if you are going to comment here… offend ME if you must, but leave the other bloggers out of it!
Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll make sure I visit all of these links soon.
Well said Mihaela.
I am honored to be associated with all the bloggers you mentioned (especially with you
)! Much power to you! Steli
Thank you Beaman, thank you Steli. Your comments wiped a tear away.
Wow…anywaaayyy I feel honored to be in the list with everybody else…
And I thank you again for putting me and my project in it.
I will link you:)
Maria->from Baaahhh hehehe;)
That’s nice, sweet Maria! Thank you. But linking back is not necessary. The list is just my way of giving something back to the ones that enrich my own world.
And your creations always put a smile on my face.
I didn’t even see an apology for unauthorized use of my art work.
It will be OK if you remove me completely, including my comments afterwards.
Well, your link will be removed, but your “kind” comments will stay. The apology was there: I didn’t mean to upset you. It was also on your MyBlogLog profile. I am amazed on how someone who blogs about spirit, light and love can show so much intolerance and so much lack of respect for other people’s work (read here “that BAAAHHH link”). I can only hope this is a misunderstanding and you’ll really reconsider your attitude.
I apologize again for using your artwork. I say again I didn’t mean to upset you. But I also say… I don’t see any apology for your behaviour in relation to a fellow blogger.
You poor thing I’m sorry you had to deal with such craziness…anywayyy I’m happy to link you and to read you I’m always looking for new blogs:)
I think what you did was very nice and sweet:)
Maria
I really like your blog and think that your links are great. I’m always interested in finding new blogs and like what you write about.
