Posted by Mihaela Lica as Power Bloggers
I have many reasons to write about Ilker. Honestly, I don’t even know how to start this entry. How do you write about someone you don’t really know, especially when you feel like you already know them?
Let me introduce you to Ilker: a power blogger. Do you want to know what a power blogger is? Well, to define it, let’s just say that a power blogger is the blogger who can make a stand, make a difference, think and act according to his/her moral values, inspire other people and so on. Ilker is such a blogger.
Ilker is the blogger who started the Blogger Power meme and his idea led to so many responses in such a short time. Many of you, who answered this meme and posted the Blogger Power letter to the porn webmasters, still write about Jon and me as the initiators (of the meme). It would be fair to include the man who really inspired the blogosphere to react and pass on the message. So I’m here to tell you today: it was Ilker Yoldas! Not Mihaela Lica, not Jon Harmon.
I want to thank you, Ilker for believing and giving me power to believe when I thought this is a lost cause. You are truly an inspiration, and that not solely because you had the idea to start this meme, but also due to your obvious qualities: no doubt that you are a talented designer, but when I read your posts I feel your passion and real love for what you do. I feel that you care. I feel that you want to give. And that’s quite rare among bloggers. Thank you!

1I am truly humbled Mihaela. I wasn’t expecting this when you told me that you were going to write a post about my blog. You made my day! =D
I’m glad the meme took off. When I wrote that post, it was marked number 9 on the list. Now I see that there are 93 posts in total and counting. I’m waiting for the day when it reaches 1,000,000!

2See, you never stop! I wish I were be as optimistic as you are! I hope your statement will become reality one day.
But you know what, even 100 blogs are a huge accomplishment. I really have the feeling that tomorrow we’ll have a reason to celebrate!

9You do deserve my visit, José. I think you are right. For some it is better to keep their mouth shut, especially if they have nothing to say. I tend to consider “quiet” people rather wise than fools. The world needs both listeners and speakers.
