Online branding is what I do best. Pamil Visions and My-tronic GmbH are just two examples of successful online branding. As a matter of fact my-tronic GmbH was my first project – started in a small German village, now a name in the worldwide LED industry (sure, depending on the targeted audience!).
Apart these two important projects, I’ve been involved in other “low profile” tasks: logo design, visual identity guidance for several firms, press release submissions and so on. Why don’t I have a relevant portfolio? Because Pamil Visions is a brand new: only since May 2006 I work as a freelancer. The website – pamil-visions.com – is older, but I’ve started it as a hobby so…
Why do I tell you this? What’s my point? To put it simple: online, as offline, a brand means identity and brings public awareness and recognition. It’s what makes you who you are; it means the difference between you and your competition.
- Build your website in a unique manner to create a unique browsing experience for your visitors. A unique website is not necessarily a fancy website. You don’t really need flash and special effects to make your visitors remember you. You need quality.
- Never ignore the power of a good logo. Don’t just throw a piece of graphic or an icon you fancy. Ask a professional to design a good logo for your company!
- Help them remember your brand with a powerful logo and a good slogan.
- Choose a memorable domain name. You could use the name of your brand in it, or the field of expertise.
- Be consistent in sending out your message. Target your audience and communicate clearly and precisely. Point out the benefits of your products rather than the history of the brand!
- Innovate!
- Don’t be afraid to try new communication channels and new approaches. The Web offers so many possibilities: blogs, forums, article directories, press release channels, podcasts, social sites, news groups and so on.
